Christa Malay has been in the business of art for over 25 years and her
paintings, serigraphs and etchings are internationally well known.
Her many exhibitions, gallery shows and awards in national competitions
have led to numerous commissions and sales of her art works.
Malay's early years were spent in Berlin, Germany and she enjoys
revisiting and rediscovering new places in Europe. She now lives and
works in an environmentally friendly and self-sustainable studio on
Lopez Island.
CH. Malay is primarily a painter in pastels and watercolor, but also
is a printmaker of serigraphs and zinc plate etchings.

in a manner that permits the viewer to see it in a new way. I take
exceptional delight in color problems, particularly in the studies of
light under various weather conditions."
